Blakemore Planetarium Dome Shows

Experience Blakemore's Digistar 5 Digital Planetarium system. This new system is the most advanced planetarium system in the world, with capabilities including full stereoscopic 3D shows, astronomical simulations, real-time 3D graphics rendering and many other features. Dome shows are included with admission and free for Museum members.

 Basin Bikefest 2018

 May 12th

Basin Bikefest is back! Join us on May 12th for all the fun. Our two bike rides start at 8:30 a.m., after the rides we hope you have your bike, wagon or stroller decorated and ready for our 9 a.m. parade! The fun doesn't stop there, join us in the backyard for games, face painting, arts & crafts, shopping and of course, our petting zoo! Registration is now open, register in advance in order to get a t-shirt, adult sizes available as well. All proceeds go to helping MCRC serve children with disabilities in the Permian Basin.

Handgun Fundamentals

Hosted at Ally Outdoors. This course is designed to provide new shooters with essential information to increase safety, proficiency, and confidence as it relates to shooting a handgun. With a strong emphasis on manipulating a handgun in a safe and efficient manner. We strive to provide a non-abrasive environment for men, women, and children to learn and grow in their abilities. Other topics to be covered consists of holsters, choice of firearm, and other gear considerations.

5K Fun Run/Walk 

 May 19th

Running 4 the Mission is sponsored by Mission Center Adult Day Service. You may pick up your packet on Friday, May 18 between 8 am and 5 pm at Mission Center, 3500 N. A, Ste. 1300, Midland TX. Free hot dogs and hamburgers to all race participants. Included are a bounce house, raffle, pet friendly, stroller friendly, family friendly. This 5K will not be timed.
