The Odessa, Texas Farmers Market's goal is to promote health and wellness to our region by providing a Farmers Market where the community can purchase a variety of locally-grown, farm-fresh produce and related products. 2nd Annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Run 

 Dec. 13th - 11am

5K Fun Run and 1 Mile Reindeer Dash will be held at the Museum of the Southwest (1705 W. Missouri Ave, Midland). The 1 Mile Reindeer Dash begins at 11 a.m. with the Ugly Christmas Sweater Run starting at 11:10 a.m. The course is a 3.1 mile loop through the streets of historic Old Midland. All participants will be provided a commemorative 2014 Ugly Christmas Sweater long-sleeve tee and finishers medal. Stick around after the run to take part in Christmas at the Mansion at the Museum of the Southwest! See the Museum and holiday decorations for free during the Open House from 1-3 p.m. and enjoy free holiday movies in the Blakemore Planetarium.  Contact the Museum of the Southwest for more information.

 Wild West Christmas Parade

Dec. 13th - 6:30pm 

The City of Midland Parks and Recreation Department is now accepting entries for the 2014 Christmas parade. This year’s parade, which has the theme of “Wild West Christmas Parade,” will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13 in downtown Midland. For more information, please call 432-685-7379.

Winter Movie Camp - Arthur Christmas 

Dec. 23rd - 9:30am 

 9:30 a.m to 12:00 noon OR 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. $5 per child, ages 5 and up. Get in the Christmas spirit with the Petroleum Museum at their Winter Movie Camp! They will be showing “Arthur Christmas,” going on a scavenger hunt, keeping warm with hot cocoa and chex mix, and creating Christmas crafts! For more information, call 683-4403. The Petroleum Museum is located at 1500 Interstate 20 West in Midland.

Alcohol & Drug Free New Years Celebration 

Dec. 31st - 7:15pm 

The Palmer Drug Abuse Program along with the Midland Coalition will be having their 9th annual New Years Eve Festival. A safe, family friendly alcohol free New Years Eve Celebration. There will be games for our youth and their families with food, face paintings, jumpers, video games, music, prize walk and a scavenger hunt. This event is free and will be held at the Midland Center - 105 N. Main St, Midland. For more information or to make a donation, please contact Palmer Drug Abuse at 432-685-3645.
