 Garden Explorers

February 17th

Garden Explorers - 10:00 am — 12:00 pm
Calling all 3rd – 5th graders for Garden Explorers! In December the Garden Explorers made a startling discovery. Our garden beds are low on nitrogen; a critical nutrient plants need to grow! The good news is that we can make our very own nitrogen with the help of some wiggly friends. This month we are learning how to create and care for worm composting. We will explore which worms to use, which food items go into composting, and how tiny little worms can turn table scraps into the best plant food around.

This will be an outdoor exploration so students should come with water and weather appropriate clothing. Tools and supervision will be provided.

General Fee: $8 | Member Fee: $5 - Tickets can be purchased: https://sibleynaturecenter.org/events/garden-explorers-2
