 Midland Downtown Farmer's Market

 Saturdays April - October

The mission of the Midland Downtown Farmers' Market is to create a sense of community as well as promote local businesses, artisans, and producers. Our goal is to not only offer an outlet for these products but to also bring the community together for an event that celebrates our local diversity and choice. We congregate in downtown Midland, TX every Saturday from the first Saturday in April until the last Saturday in October. Now located at 1705 W. RTD Skatepark - Free Group Lessons 

Saturdays 

Want to learn how to skate or just need help landing that new trick? Then join us every Saturday morning from 9am to noon for our FREE group lessons included with every paid admission.  Story Time - Midland Co. Public Library

September 1st - 10:30am

Cross the Line - Line Dance Class 

 September 1st - 7pm

Learn to line dance, or come and practice if you already know how, or brush up on your skills. We are always learning new dances.Go at your own pace. Dancing is a great way to lose weight, stay in shape or improve your health. Class will be held at the Martin Luther King Community Center, located at 2300 Butternut Lane, Midland.            

 Permian Basin Fair & Expo

September 5th 

The Permian Basin's largest event begins the Friday after Labor Day and runs for nine days. Attracting crowds from all over Texas and neighboring states, the annual fair and exposition includes a large carnival, live music, creative arts, contests, food vendors, livestock shows, interactive attractions and much more.  SeptemberFest Arts Festival

September 11th - 13th

Weekend Activities include over 70 artist booths, fun festival foods and beer, live music and entertainment throughout the weekend, entrance to the Fredda Durham Children's Museum, entrance to the Blakemore Planetarium exhibition space and dome shows, KinderFest activities for kids.  SeptemberFest General Admission: $5 for ages 12 and up; $3 for ages 3-11; Free for ages 2 and under; Seniors and active military personnel receive kids' rates.  If you're interested in being a volunteer, please contact Kristen Wagstrom at 432-683-2882 ext. 316 or see more at: http://museumsw.org/

 Relay for Life

 September 12th - 6pm-Midnight

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is the world's largest and most impactful fundraising event to end cancer. It unites communities across the globe to celebrate people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and take action to finish the fight once and for all.  September 15th - 5:30pm-7pm

Come hang out in the Library Basement from 5:30-7. We will provide video games and snacks so bring your friends. You can also bring your favorite Wii, Nintendo NES, or Sega Genesis game if its okay with your parents. Hope to see you there. Ector County Public Library, located at 321 W. 5th Street in Odessa.  United Blood Services - Blood Drive

West Texas Tennis Classic

September 26th - 3pm  

US Olympic and Davis Cup team members will headline The West Texas Tennis Classic on September 26th, 2015, at 3:00 pm at The Bush Tennis Center in Midland, Texas The World’s # 1 doubles team of Mike and Bob Bryan along with the #1 ranked American singles player, John Isner and ATP Tour star Sam Querrey will headline the event to help support youth tennis programs at The Bush Tennis Center. - See more at: www.westtexastennisclassic.com

 Odessa Texas Buffalo Battle 2015

 September 26th

Waves of up to 200 entrants will start at 10am (Elite Timed Wave), 10:30am, 11am. Obstacles include Hog Alley, Stampede, Tires, Rock Slide, Mud Pits, Trail Runs, Humvee Push, Climbing Walls, and more. Registrants will receive a t-shirt, Buffalo Battle dog tag, Finisher Medal, Swag Bag, Race Bib, and one free beer. Spectators are welcome.
