Sesame Street Live! Let's Party! 

 January

5 & 6

Everyone’s invited to take part in the sunniest and funniest street celebration in Sesame Street Live! Let’s Party! The inaugural production under Feld Entertainment’s new partnership with the non-profit educational organization, Sesame Workshop features favorite Sesame Street pals Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Big Bird and more in a brand-new sensory adventure live on stage. Sesame Street Live!  Sibley Nature Center

 January 8

Tales & Trails: January 8 at 10 a.m. at Sibley Nature Center, and is all about Snow & Ice!  Did you know every one snowflake is different from all the others?! And that "ice" is the common name for "frozen water"?! During January's Tales & Trails we will learn all about snow and ice through hands-on activities and interactive stories!  On the second Tuesday of each month at 10 a.m., preschool children and their caregivers are invited to join Sibley Staff and Volunteers for an interactive one hour story time. Discover the shapes within a flower, the colors on the back of a beetle, the music of the wind, and much more.  This program is designed for 2-4 year old children, and younger siblings are welcome. Sibley Nature Tales and Trails is a Free Program with a suggested donation of $2. Midland Beekeeper's Meeting

Midland Beekeepers meet the second Tuesday of the month. This meeting is open to all members of Sibley Nature Center that are involved in beekeeping, interested, or looking to become a beekeeper. Brown Bag Lunch & Lecture Series

Please join the Petroleum Museum for the Brown Bag lunch & lecture series of 'Documenting Stories of Living in a Boom or Bust Economy'.  Professor Rebecca Babcock shares information gathered by UTPB students to help generations understand how the booms and busts of the energy sector affect everyone in the Permian Basin.  This event will be held from 11:30 to 12:30pm.  See more at  https://petroleummuseum.org/lectures/

The Oak Ridge Boys

The Oak Ridge Boys will be returning to the Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center stage on January 17th, 2019 at 7:30pm.  The Oak Ridge Boys are one of the most distinctive and recognizable sounds in the music industry. The Very Hungry Caterpillar

The critically acclaimed production of 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show' created by Jonathan Rockefeller features a menagerie of 75 lovable puppets, faithfully adapts four stories by author/illustrator Eric Carle: Brown Bear, Brown Bear, 10 Little Rubber Ducks, The Very Lonely Firefly and of course, the star of the show – The Very Hungry Caterpillar.  The timeless classic has made its way off the page and onto the stage.  This event is held at the Wagner Noel Performing Arts Center on January 21st beginning at 2pm.  See more at  https://www.wagnernoel.com/events/detail/the-very-hungry-caterpillar
