 Family Science Night

The Permian Basin Petroleum Museum proudly presents Family Science Night sponsored by Chevron. Families are invited to participate in hands-on science activities including science experiments, museum discovery and creative projects. Refreshments are provided and admission is FREE! Spring Break Fun

HAM/Amateur Radio Lecture 

 March 17th - 11:30am

This lecture is presented by Steve Hopkins, President of the Midland Amateur Radio Club, where he will share the history of ham radios, as well as demonstrate communication with people around the world. Bring your own lunch. For more information call (432) 683-4403.The Petroleum Museum’s Brown Bag Lunch and Lectures give our community the chance to visit with authors, scientists, artists and historians who recount the petroleum industry’s beginning, present and future, along with topics of local and historical interest. These lectures are sponsored by the Hahl Proctor Charitable Trust. Admission is always free. Dessert and drinks provided. 

Shotguns & Stilettos: Girl's Night Out

March 19th - 6pm

Girls’ Night Out Preview Party kicks off the fundraising weekend. Attendees will have the first shot at the merchandise from our vendors plus light appetizers and cocktails, of course. Every ticket holder will receive a shopping bag that will allow free entry into the market for the weekend. Event is held at the new Horseshoe Pavilion on March 19th from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. March 21st - 10:30am

The ever popular Bunny Brunch Children’s Event will be on Saturday March 21st from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm at the Horseshoe Pavilion. Again this year we will have the Easter Bunny for pictures, a petting zoo, a magic show by Harlin, balloon animals, Greenie the Clown will be face painting, plus a full meal for parents and the kiddos catered by Chef Michael. March 27th 

Clay Shoot will be at Jake’s Clays again on Friday, March 27th. There are two shooting flights, first one is at 9:00 am and the afternoon flight goes off at 1:00 pm. Join us for breakfast at 8:30 am before the shoot. Lunch will be provided at 11:30 am while we announce the winners of the door prizes. As always, one in eight shooters will win a fantastic prize.  March 28th

You will not want to miss John Michael Montgomery performing at the Buckshot Bash on Saturday March 28th at the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Hangar! The silent and live auctions are packed full of fantastic items and wonderful trips. Don Strange of San Antonio is catering a delicious meal, offering beef tenderloin or mesquite grilled chicken. Come relax and enjoy a memorable concert all while supporting our community projects. Doors will open at 6:00 pm. Energy City Half Marathon 

March 28th  - 7:30am

5k/10k and 13.1 mile run through the historic neighborhoods of Midland. Beginning and finishing at Midland Memorial Stadium this race promises to be a lot of fun!
